The Phnom Penh Shelter has been in operation since 1995. Many donors have helped CCPCR provide rehabilitation and reintegration care during this time, particularly Family Care Cambodia and Village Focus International 

In our shelter, children receive protection and refuge in a safe and secure environment, we can house up to 50 girls. In our shelter there is: a kitchen, a classroom, a computer room, library, 8 bedrooms, 2 staff rooms, an office, counseling and nursing room, a large sewing and weaving room, playground, volleyball court and a vegetable patch!  

Girls referred to our shelter in Phnom Penh each receive:

  • Basic needs such as food, clothes, shoes, health and hygiene materials
  • Protection and safety in a secure environment
  • Counseling; art, group and individual therapy
  • Literacy training
  • Computer training
  • English training
  • Dance training
  • Life skills training, for example morality, respect, health & hygiene, cooking
  • Health care/ treatment and education
  • Vocational skills training, for example on-site sewing and weaving

And most importantly love, guidance, support and being part of a family!
